About the Opportunity

As a Repair Technician, you will be at the heart what we do, inspecting electronic components, performing diagnostic tests, and getting things working again. This role will also involve communicating with customers, whether over the phone or via email, working with them to understand their issues and provide support. You will be fully supported along the way, learning the tools & techniques of the trade with opportunities to upskill and grow.

Who We Are

AgElec Repair specialises in repairing electronic and electrical hardware within the agriculture and machinery industries, offering both mail-in/drop-off and on-site services.
We work directly with farmers, auto electricians, dealers, mechanics and more, priding ourselves on a reliable and honest service. 

Our base of operations is a modern warehouse in Jindera, NSW, located just 10 minutes outside of Albury. We also operate a sister business, Border Tuning Services, which offers mail order and dyno tuning for diesel vehicles.

Your Day-to-Day

  •  Processing: Receive inbound components for repair, enter in customer details, verify issues/ faults, and request further information when needed.
  • Diagnosis: Inspect components, note their physical condition, and safely perform diagnostic tests.
  • Repairing: With support from our Lead Technician, follow documented instructions and apply learned techniques to complete repairs on a wide variety of devices.
  • Job Management: Maintain accurate notes and provide updates to customers as a job progresses.
  • Customer Support: Offer phone support by answering customer questions and addressing their concerns as you become more familiar with the work we do.
  • Research: Source parts and track down documentation online as needed.

Whether you’re an auto elec looking to advance into electronics, a computer or phone technician looking to specialise, or just a hobbyist with who likes to build things – we want to hear from you.

Must Haves

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience working with electronics would be ideal.
  • Steady hand and attention to detail when handling components.
  • Willingness to learn and understand our industry.
  • Intermediate computer skills – ticket system, email, searching for manuals/parts online
  • Current driver’s license or reliable transport.
  • Positive, proactive, and eager to contribute to a growing team.
  • Adaptable, with a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
